What is Pep Club? Pep Club is open to any student at CHS. This club promotes school spirit.
Dues: Yearly dues are only $4.00
When does it meet? Pep Club meets during the ECA club schedule A and various meetings will be scheduled after school throughout the year.
What does Pep Club do? This club plans, organizes and executes the fall football homecoming assembly and the winter basketball homecoming assemsbly. We organize homecoming week activities such as dress-up days, hall decorating, and all assembly activities. The club promotes school spirit and supports CHS organizations that are preparing or participating in competitions.
Community Service: Pep Club feels that it is their duty to support the community as well as the school. The club is involved in several community service events throughout the year. Our major project is sponsoring the annual Boys and Girls Club Holiday Party for children ages 6-9. At the end of the year, donations are made to various charity organizations with excess money in the club account. In the past, the club sponsored a brick on the walkway at the new Mesker Zoo Amazonia, adopted an orangutan through the Orangutan Foundation International, and donated to the local Red Cross Chapter.
Pep Club Sponsored the Boys and Girls Club of Evansville, IN Holiday Party for 125 Children Ages 6-9 on December 21, 2007. Pep Club sponsored the meal (pizza, juice boxes, chips and dessert) provided games and entertainment. The Club had the Mesker Park Zoo Docents present an educational program that included live animals! The club members collected enough hats and gloves so each child recieved a warm weather item. Boys and Girls Club Christmas Party was held on December 18, 2008. Castle Pep Club members sponsored this fun filled evening. Pep Club served up games and good times all evening. The children played basketball, created holiday crafts, and played games. The children were treated to a pizza dinner complete with chips and dessert! The children were also visited and entertained by the Hadi Funsters. The Clowns were a big hit! Thanks to everyone for their generous donations and to the students that volunteered to conduct party activities! A great time was had by all!
Thursday, February 26, 2009: Castle High School ROCKED THE HOUSE! The Pep Club organized a pep assembly in honor of the State Qualifiers in Wrestling and Swimming. We had many 'special guests' throughout the event. Students were on their feet for one of the most festive events in years! Click below to view photos of the event.
