Classroom Instructions and Procedures

DO THE RIGHT THING ALL THE TIME, EVEN WHEN YOUR ARE NOT BEING SUPERVISED BY AN ADULT.

1.          Please raise your hand anytime that you may want to get out of your desk.

2.          Please be in your seat when the bell rings.

3.          DO NOT WRITE ON YOUR DESKS OR IN THE BOOK.

4.          Your final grade will be determined from the total points accumulated.           

a)          Each grading period is 30% of your total semester grade.

            b)          The semester final exam grade is 10% of your total semester grade.

            c)          The six weeks grade is determined by the following system: Total points accumulated from test, quizzes, homework, and any extra credit.

5.          The following grading scale will be used.

A    x    >    90%

B    80%   <   x   <    90%   

C    70%    <    x    <    80%

D    60%    <    x    <    70%     

F    x <   60%

6.          Makeup work will be in accordance with the Warrick County School Corporation policy.

7.          If you are absent for any reason, it is your responsibility to find out the assignment for that day or for multiple days.   (This includes all field trips.)  

8.          Any extra credit will be given to the entire class.

9.          a)          Please ask questions!!!!

            b)          Take good notes daily!!!

            c)          Keep up with your daily homework!!!

10.        Every student must have:

            a)          A hardback 3-ring notebook

            b)          3 ring notebook paper (without edges)

            c)          A RED PEN DAILY 

11.        Home work will be assigned almost every night.   Make sure that you give yourself an honest effort every night.

WILL NOT GET ANY CREDIT ON THAT PROBLEM.   I WILL SIMPLY WRITE

(SAW), WHICH MEANS “SHOW ALL WORK”.

13.        THERE WILL BE NO LATE WORK ACCEPTED. (EXCEPT IN VERY EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCES).

14.     A)      ALGEBRA 4 STUDENTS MUST HAVE A TI 83 OR TI 84 MODEL   CALCULATOR.

         B)      GEOMETRY 2 STUDENTS MUST HAVE A  CALCULATOR WITH TRIG

 FUNCTIONS AND A FRACTION BAR.
