Parents In Partnership
Castle High Schools

Dear Parents & Guardians:

Parents in Partnership provides a great opportunity for parents of teens in Castle Schools to
connect with their community. Parents who network with each other AND are involved in their
children's activities often find they are better able to help their kids resist the pressures to use
alcohol and drugs.

We can all be in denial and say, "Not my kid!" or "Not in my community!" BUT the truth is many
Castle teens struggle to avoid life-changing risks.

Only 6.6% of licensed drivers are ages 16-20, yet they account for 20.4% of all single vehicle
fatal crashes and more than 15% of all fatal crashes!

WHAT CAN WE DO TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

By signing the Parents In Partnership pledge for the 2009/2010 school year, YOU

  • Join the partnership
  • Promise to honor guidelines concerning our teens' actions.
  • Have access to the PIP parent directory, which lists participating families and their
    contact information.
  • Verify your willingness to act on your promise and connect with other parents by making
    calls and setting standards.

BE PROACTIVE, NOT REACTIVE!
Don't wait! Please sign and return you pledge form to your child's school today!
